I’m posting this for my dear friend Heather back in Austin. She loves France as much as I love England! This panoramic shot is from a series of images I took atop the Arc de Triomphe in Paris. The infrared effect was added later in Photoshop after I stitched them together.
I attended the FOCUS on Imaging exhibition in Birmingham, England a few weeks ago. While in the UK I took a day to go to Brighton with friends, and we visited the Royal Pavilion there. The outside reminds me of the Taj Mahal and the interiors are exquisitely decorated with Chinese and Indian themes. It was absolutely stunning!
I’m Shannon Belletti, a wedding photographer based in Atlanta, and this is my blog. I’ve started this project as a way to let the world know what I’ve been up to. I was born in Tyler, Texas and lived there until moving to Austin to attend school at The University of Texas. After graduating in 1996, I primarily worked as a graphic designer while doing a bit of website design on the side. I purchased my first SLR camera during this time and decided to go back to school to learn how to use it!
I met my husband in Austin, and a few years after our wedding we decided it was time to make a move. Allen had lived in several states but never overseas, and I had never lived outside Texas. So we packed up our belongings and our 3 cats to move to a small town about an hour west of London, England.
Although we loved living in England, Allen was offered a job in Atlanta (where he grew up) and we decided it was time to move back. We arrived in May 2006 and have spent the last few months settling into our “new” 1918 home.
I’ve been a professional photographer for a number of years now. In England I shared a studio with another wonderful photographer, and we split our time between weddings and studio portraiture. Now that I’m back in the States, I’m solely shooting weddings and loving every minute of it!
