Best Photographer in Atlanta - Atlanta Wedding Photography Blog

Wow, it’s been a busy week or so. My mom came to visit from Austin, Texas last week. We each bought an Atlanta CityPass and spent the week visiting the Zoo, Cyclorama, Botanical Gardens, Aquarium, CNN Studio Tour, World of Coca-Cola, Centennial Olympic Park, historic Roswell, and more! It was great to do a lot of the tourist-y things, and I think she had as much fun as I did!

This Friday I took some head shots for one of my neighbors. She’s a physicist and is crazy smart, and it was really interesting to hear about the work she’s doing.

Afterwards, Allen and I attended an engagement party for our friends Trey and Amy. They’ll be getting married next spring, and we are so happy they found each other. They really are a perfect pair!

Thank you SO much for all of your votes, online comments, emails, calls and support. Most of my readers know that I was recently nominated to Fox Atlanta’s Hot List as “Best Photographer in Atlanta.” The results in the wedding category were announced today… and I won! 

I cannot believe I’ve been voted the best in Atlanta by two different competitions in my first full year of business. I could not have done it without all of my fabulous clients, friends, colleagues, and family members. Thank you, thank you!!

Last Saturday evening I had the privilege of photographing Stefanie Lindsey and Mike Christensen. I found this gorgeous little pond hidden away in an upscale office complex, and it was perfect with the setting sun. Stefanie and Mike will be getting married on November 10th at Rainwater Restaurant in Alpharetta, and I cannot wait to spend the day with them!

I decided that as it’s been a little over a year, the time has come to update my website. So here it is, new and improved! Most of the content is the same, but it has a new look that is a little more up-to-date and little more “wedding-ish.” Enjoy!

I didn’t have a wedding scheduled for this weekend, but I have 3 shoots and another small bridal show instead! Yesterday’s bridal shoot was postponed as it was pouring rain, but today looks fantastic. I photographed Sandis and Brent this morning… they are working with an adoption agency, and we took a series of headshots for them to send to prospective mothers. Then later this afternoon I’ll be taking engagement photographs of Stefanie and Mike who will be married this November. Stay tuned for more images!
