One of the fun things about my job is that I am often asked to do work other than wedding photography. And while I LOVE photographing people every weekend, there’s also something satisfying in working in a very controlled environment.
I love this time of year! It feels like the summer heat is finally over, and the first signs of Fall are approaching. October is usually my busiest month for weddings because the weather is so fantastic, and I have some really awesome couples to work with!
But on to the subject of this entry… Holiday Cards! Every year I create a new design for my holiday cards, and I’m happy to introduce the new 2008 design. These aren’t your standard flimsy photo printouts… these are beautiful boxed sets of high-quality cards on heavy watercolor card stock.
Each card features 3 of your favorite images on the front and one large image inside. The text inside & out can be customized just for you, and you may also choose the color scheme for the card.

Gail Johnson and Hester Parks of Wedding Soiree, some of the best event planners in town!, hosted a Wedding Planner Workshop at their offices on Saturday. They very kindly invited me to drop in, and I took some photos throughout the day for them.
It was really fun to get a “behind-the-scenes” look at all the hard work and preparation that goes into planning a big event, and I loved seeing all their creative ideas made into reality.

Want to know what I do when I get a little break between weddings?
My best friend (and coincidentally the best real estate agent ever), Lily Lewis, grew up in the little town of Louisville, GA. Her parents still live there in a 1700s home on a little farm, and we went to visit this weekend.
Of course, I’m never too far from my camera so Lily and I exchanged lessons… she’s teaching me the art of English Riding, while I’m teaching her a little bit about Photography. The photos below are my favorites from the weekend, and Lily did a great job with her new photography skills!
