iGot the iPhone
Ok ok, I admit it. I was one of those silly people that waited in line for an iPhone yesterday. But I have to say it, I’m REALLY excited about my new toy!
I waited in line from 2:30pm yesterday, read a book, chatted with other folks in line. Apple staff were there handing out free Starbucks and SmartWater and thanking us all for waiting. When the doors opened at 6pm, all the Apple team members were standing inside the front door cheering and applauding as we walked in. Pretty cool! Checkout was amazingly fast and efficient, and I was in and out in a jiffy.
Got home, plugged in the dock and activated my phone through iTunes. Probably took less than 2 minutes to get up and running. So far, I’m really impressed. The screen is huge, very bright and my photos look fantastic on it. All the apps are easy to navigate, and in less than an hour I had tried all the features and learned how to use everything. No need for a user manual!
Anyway, we’ll see over time how it performs. But for someone that typically keeps her mobile phone for several years (and who never got an iPod of any kind), I think I’m going to be really happy in the long run.

OMG! I’m so jealous!!! We don’t get AT&T service out here in the boonies, so the iPhone isn’t an option for me or I would have been in line myself. Bravo and congrats!
